Anton Pugachevsky — adventure photographer in the mountains

About Me

I'm Anton.

mountain athlete with a camera.

I'm most at home in the mountains — whether that's skiing steep lines in New Hampshire's White Mountains, skinning up before sunrise, or chasing bigger terrain out west. I have a van and spend chunks of each winter in Colorado when the powder calls. The Alps when I can get there.

Skiing is at the core of it all — alpine, touring, and more recently nordic — but it doesn't stop when the snow melts. Summer shifts into mountain biking, trail running, long hikes, and fly fishing in quiet places. I've started hikes at 3 AM to be on a summit for sunrise. Skinned up to Tuckerman Ravine in the dark for a proposal session. Cold, uncomfortable, and completely worth it.

Somewhere along the way the camera started coming on every trip, and now the places I love are the places I work.

I use photography to tell stories that make people want to get outside — and care about the places they find when they get there.

To push further.

To try something new.

To see what's out there.

I specialize in adventure elopements, Airbnb photography, and outdoor brands — but the thread running through all of it is the same: I want to capture the feeling of a place, not just what it looks like. Whether that's a couple on a 4,000-footer, a product in its natural habitat, or a rental cabin at golden hour — I'm after the experience, not the inventory.

I take about 25 elopements a year, deliberately. I've finished all 48 of New Hampshire's 4,000-footers, so I know which ledges hold their magic by season, and I'm steadily working my way through Colorado's 14ers. When I fly in, I head straight up. No easing in. Before I suggest a location, I've usually already been there, so you get a plan I've walked, not one I found on a map. I'm also an ordained minister and can legally sign your marriage license in most states — for a lot of couples, that makes one less thing to coordinate.
